Connie was born in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) but has spent many years living in Papunya with her extended family. Connie has painted for Papunya Tjupi in the past. Her grandfather was Willy Tjungarrayi Gibson. Willy was late to move to Papunya, and then returned to the Western Desert and eventually settled in Kintore with his close family group. Connie explains that her grandfather urged her to keep his Tjukurrpa alive through painting, in particular ‘Tali’ [sand dunes], Two Nangala Women pursued by Tjungarrayi Man, and Kapi [waterhole] Tjukurrpa, from Yala Yala outstation near Kintore.
Connie lives in Alice Springs with her husband and his extended family.
