Rachel Lynch Napaltjarri

Yarrenyty Arltere Artists & Tangentyere Artists

Rachel Lynch Napaltjarri was born in 1968, the daughter of Two Bob Tjungarrayi, one of the original Papunya Tula artists.

Rachel lives between Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and Papunya Community, painting with Papunya Tjupi Art Centre when she is in Papunya, and Tangentyere Artists when she is in town. She paints various stories associated with Karrinyarra, including the Kapi Dreaming, Yalke, and Dancing Women Dreaming that are a part of the rich women’s traditions associated with that Country.

When painting for Papunya Tjupi, Rachel exhibited works across the country. Since Joining Tangentyere Artists in 2018 her works have been exhibited in Tangentyere Artists Gallery, and also at events such as Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair, and Tarnanthi Festival in Adelaide.
